Newcastle: Voted #1

In 2018 Newcastle was voted the best place to visit and no wonder when it has a reputation for being one of the wildest places to go for a Stag do.

With gorgeous women, amazing bars and a city with an atmosphere that captivates you in every way, Newcastle is the perfect destination for any Stag party.

Why not go for a burger and a beer? The restaurant Fat Hippo was crowned victor in the 2019 Newcastle Loves awards. Or you could hit up the Quayside with bars focussing on a Pie and Pint, and a classic dance session. There is also the Diamond Strip, where the Geordie Shore cast parties, and the Bigg Market, which is famous for its cheap clubs and karaoke bars.

For the sporty stags, you can compete at indoor carting or visit the famous football grounds St. James’. Both will explore your adventurous side while being able to laugh with your mates.

Fun fact about Newcastle; it’s the capital of Greggs, with a total amount of 29 shops. The first shop opened in Gosforth in 1951. (You can even chase your hangover away with a sausage roll.)

Liverpool:The Beatles Home

Named the third best place to visit in the UK in 2018, Liverpool is a place of history, entertainment and sport.

Liverpudlians are proud of their city and from the moment you arrive, you can see exactly why that is the case. The live entertainment will knock your socks off; it is where the Beatles rose to fame after all. Speaking of the Beatles why don’t you visit The Grapes Pub, where they used to drink, or the Cavern Club, where they performed.

Take a tour of Anfield or Goodison Park, depending on your team of choice – FC Liverpool, who even won the 2019 Champions league, or FC Everton. Why not try your hand at goggle football too and work up a thirst for the evening.

With Concert Square, the hub of R&B clubs, and Matthew Street, stag central, you will certainly be toe-tapping and in the mood to celebrate Liverpool’s epic entertainment vibe.

Fun Fact About Liverpool: Beatles fans stole the Penny Lane street sign so many times that the council painted it on a wall.

Edinburgh: It Never Sleeps

The city has everything that you need and more to create an unforgettable Stag party, regardless of what your taste and needs might be.

The New Town and the Old Town both have a lot to offer but if you want to explore your last night of freedom in style then the Old Town is the place to be. With ale powerhouse Beehive Inn and Irish bar Biddy Mulligan’s, where the music flows just as nicely as the Guinness, you can drink the night away.

That is why some have compared the city as Scotland’s own New York – it never sleeps. With festivals year-round – Burns Night in January and the Fringe Festival in August – it definitely deserves that name.

If adrenaline is your thing then take to the water and experience white water rafting or try out some foot golf followed by some 4×4 off-road driving or quad biking.

After a heavy night in Edinburgh, you’ll want to sleep off the drink and the city has a selection of accommodation that fits your every need. Just make sure to have a Scottish breakfast in the morning too.

Fun Fact About Edinburgh: The world’s most pierced woman lives there. According to the Guinness World Records Elaine Davidson has over 9,000 piercings.

Manchester: ‘Madchester’

This club-loving city is every bit as exciting as it is beautiful and that is why your Stag party will never be left wanting.

Music is at the heart of the city: it’s the birthplace of Oasis and host of Park Life festival, the largest metropolitan festival in the country. This love transfers to the nightlife, which not only offers a good time but good alcohol. Cloudwater brewery was recently voted second best in the world by RateBeer in 2018.

Why not begin with a stadium tour and visit the world-famous Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United? Or take a trip around the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City. Try your hand at bubble football and have a laugh. Maybe take a walk down Curry Mile, which is only really a half-mile stretch with 360 curry houses next door to each other.

Fun Manchester fact: Wigan, in Greater Manchester, hosts the World Pie Eating Championships. The record is eating a meat and potato pie in just 38 seconds.

London: Party Central

Let’s face it, if you can’t do it in London where can you do it? A destination for millions from all over the world, London is also a fantastic choice for stag weekends.

London is full of pubs associated with artists, writers, and poets. The Fitzroy Tavern on Charlotte Street was famous for hosting Dylan Thomas, and George Orwell.

Your stag will feel like the world is his oyster whilst partying in the capital – let’s just hope he can remember it in the morning!

Newquay: Chilled City

Cornwall is a different world compared to the rest of the UK. The locals are chilled out and friendly, welcoming you to their sunny corner of Britain. World-famous for its surfing, and great fishing opportunities; Newquay is the place to be. If you fancy hitting the bars and clubs, you can head to The Anvil for a pint or The Dead Famous Liquor Lounge.

Nottingham:Known for Shots

Don’t worry, if you are heading to Nottingham, you won’t have to wear your green tights but you will be able to explore this amazing city and all that it offers you.

The residents are proud of their history and their heritage and they have a football club that also makes them proud. Whatever you want from your Stag party, this is the place to get your fill of bars, restaurants and more activities than you can shoot an arrow at.

Nottingham will give you something to remember because the nightlife is where the magic happens. There is Bell Inn, the oldest pub which boasts a classic collection of craft beers and ales.  Or head to the classy Lace Market where you can find upmarket bars and restaurants. If you want live music then Rock City is the perfect location for you. Nottingham doesn’t let you down when it comes to pub, clubs and bars so finding that perfect blend of wild nights and quiet pints is easier than you might think.
